Top tips on cleaning your kitchen

Your kitchen is the most important room to keep clean in your home but it definitely isn’t the easiest of rooms to keep clean. That’s why we want to share a few tips with you on how to achieve and maintain a hygienic kitchen…

The only things you need to clean your entire kitchen;

  • Baking soda
  • Salt
  • Lemon
  • Vinegar
  • Hot water
  • Soap

Kitchen unit door cleaning

If you clean the front of your unit doors with soap and warm water, make sure you wipe down thoroughly with a dry cloth to avoid discoloration.

If you have wooden units and doors, we would suggest using a cleaning product made specifically for wood.

Microwave cleaning

Fill a heatproof bowl with water and lemon slices then microwave for a few minutes. Leave it in there for an additional 3 minutes to loosen the stains and make them easy to wipe away.

Oven/stove cleaning

Mix a box of baking soda with water (just enough to form a thick paste). Spread it all over the inside of your oven avoiding any openings, bare metal and the oven door. Remove the past with a spatula the next day then rise out.

Remove the grates and soak in warm, soapy water for at least 3 hours before scrubbing with a scouring pad.

Sink cleaning

With a stainless steel sink, sprinkle baking soda or salt all over it and scrub with a lemon cut into half.

Mix vinegar and hot water and pour down the sink to clean the pipes.

Fridge cleaning

Mix hot water and baking soda and sponge down the shelves. Remove the shelves in your fridge to clean them thoroughly.

Leave a box of baking soda in the fridge to get rid of any bad smells.
